Privacy policy
How we collect, use and look after your personal information.
This policy explains how Stoll’s Spraying Equipment Pty Ltd (ABN 59 119 351 969) handles personal information. It applies to our website, www.stolls.com.au, and to the other ways you deal with us — by phone, by email, in person at 18 Cheshire Street, at field days, and through our dealers.
In this policy, “Stoll’s”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Stoll’s Spraying Equipment Pty Ltd, which trades as Stoll’s, Stoll Boomsprays and StollTec. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

The information we collect
We only collect the personal information we need to deal with you. Depending on how you deal with us, that may include:
- your name, phone number, email address, and your town or district;
- your business or farm name, and your postal or delivery address;
- what you tell us in an enquiry, such as the machine you’re interested in or the help you need;
- details of the machines you own or run, including model and serial numbers, and their parts, service and support history;
- the information we need to quote, sell, deliver and invoice machines, parts and services; and
- basic technical information when you use our website (see “Our website” below).
We don’t ask for sensitive information, such as health information, and we ask that you don’t include it in an enquiry.
How we collect it
- From you — when you fill in a form on our website, call or email us, visit us, speak with us at a field day, or message us through social media. If you ask to join the Stoll Owners Group on Facebook, we ask for your name and your machine’s serial number so we can check you own or operate a Stoll.
- From our dealers — when you buy, service or ask about a Stoll machine through a Stoll dealer, the dealer may pass us the details needed to supply and support it.
- Automatically — when you use our website (see “Our website” below).
You don’t have to give us your personal information, and you can contact us without giving your full name. But if you don’t give us the details we need, we may not be able to answer your enquiry or supply what you’ve asked for.
Why we collect it, and how we use it
We use personal information to:
- answer your enquiries and give you quotes;
- sell, deliver, set up, service and support machines, parts and StollTec equipment;
- put you in touch with a Stoll dealer near you when that’s the best way to help;
- keep records of machines and the work done on them;
- meet our obligations under the Australian Consumer Law and other laws, including tax and record-keeping laws;
- run and improve our business, products and website; and
- send you news about our machines and events, if you’ve agreed to receive it (see “Marketing” below).
We don’t sell personal information, and we don’t use it for any purpose you wouldn’t reasonably expect without asking you first, unless the law requires or allows it.
Who we share it with
We may share personal information with:
- Stoll dealers, so they can help with your enquiry, sale, parts or service in your area;
- suppliers of equipment we sell or fit, where they need details to support or register that equipment;
- service providers who help us run our business, such as our website host, form service, email and IT providers, transport companies, and our accountants and other professional advisers; and
- government agencies or others where the law requires or allows it.
We only share what’s needed for the job, and we expect the people we share it with to protect it.
Information sent overseas
Some of the service providers we use store or process information outside Australia. For example, the service that delivers our website forms keeps submissions on servers overseas, and our website, email and map services use providers with servers around the world. Those countries include the United States, the United Kingdom, and countries in Europe and Asia. We choose reputable providers and take reasonable steps to make sure they protect the information.
Our website
- Enquiry forms. When you send a form on our website, it’s delivered to our email by a form service called Web3Forms. Web3Forms keeps a copy of each submission on its servers for up to three years, unless it’s deleted sooner.
- Technical information. Like most websites, our website host (Microsoft Azure) may automatically record technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit, to run and secure the site.
- Fonts, scripts and maps. Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts and some program code from cdnjs (run by Cloudflare), and the dealer map loads map images from OpenStreetMap. To deliver these, those services receive your IP address and basic browser information.
- Cookies. Our website doesn’t use advertising or tracking cookies. If an area of the site needs a sign-in, a cookie is used only to remember that you’ve signed in.
- Website analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages people read. It doesn’t use cookies, doesn’t follow you from one website to another, and doesn’t collect anything that identifies you. To produce those counts, Cloudflare receives limited technical information such as the page address, the site that sent you and your browser type, and Cloudflare processes it on servers outside Australia.
- Links to other sites. Our website links to other websites, including our Facebook and Instagram pages, our dealers’ websites and the Stoll App. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which this policy doesn’t cover.
If we change how the website handles personal information, we’ll update this policy.
Marketing
We’ll only send you marketing emails or text messages if you’ve agreed to receive them, or where the law otherwise allows it. Every marketing message will tell you who it’s from and give you an easy way to unsubscribe, and we’ll act on your request promptly. You can also ask us to stop at any time using the contact details below.
How we store and protect it
We keep personal information in our email and business systems, in paper records at our premises, and with the service providers described above. We take reasonable steps to protect it from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, change or disclosure — for example, by limiting who can see it and using reputable providers with security controls.
When we no longer need personal information for any purpose allowed by law, including the time we must keep business and tax records, we take reasonable steps to delete it or remove the details that identify you.
If there’s a data breach
If a data breach is likely to result in serious harm to anyone whose information is involved, we’ll act quickly to contain it, and we’ll notify the people affected and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner where the law requires us to.
Seeing and correcting your information
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, using the contact details below. We’ll respond within 30 days. We won’t charge you for making a request. If we can’t give you access or make a correction, we’ll tell you why in writing, as the law requires.
Questions and complaints
If you have a question about privacy, or you think we’ve mishandled your personal information, please contact us first so we can put it right:
- Email: info@stolls.com.au
- Phone: 02 6925 4222 (Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm)
- Post: Stoll’s Spraying Equipment Pty Ltd, 18 Cheshire Street, Wagga Wagga NSW 2650
We’ll acknowledge a complaint promptly, look into it, and give you our response in writing within 30 days. If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated. You can also ask us for a free copy in another form.
