Why Stoll's Liquid Fert

Why Stoll's Liquid Fert
Why Stoll's Liquid Fert

Our components: - All of the components that make up our liquid injection kits have been carefully selected to not only provide you with the ultimate in accurate liquid application but also to give you years of reliable service in what can be a harsh environment of liquid fertilizer.

Tanks:All our tanks are UV stabilized, heavy walled polyethylene tanks. They are low profile for even weight distribution and pin mounted for ease of attachment to your seeder. Tanks come complete with all tank outlet and bypass fittings needed, as well as our dual agitation system. Tanks can be purchased either as a bare unit or already mounted on a steel skid frame.

Flushing System:A flush tank is an essential part of a complete liquid injection system to keep your system clean and free from residue and buildup. Your entire flushed be flushed at the end of every days work or at least once every twelve. This simple maintainence step can be done quickly and easily and ensures trouble free operation of your system. Flush tanks are available in various sizes, with or without frames and come complete with all fittings necessary as well as a spare outlet for clean water / hand washing etc.

Pumps:We use stainless steel hydraulically driven hypro pumps in our systems¸ these pumps are the obvious choice for a liquid injection system for the following reasons:

·Huge flow rates - with over 400L/min of flow these pumps not only comfortably supply all the flow necessary for any size bar, they also have massive amounts of bypass agitation which eliminates the need for extra pumps etc dedicated to agitation. As a general rule of thumb your pump should have enough capacity to turn over your entire tank contents every 10 minutes.

·Stainless steel construction - provides you with the ultimate in protection against harsh liquid fertilizers and trace elements.

·Easy maintenance - much simpler and cheaper to maintain than a diaphragm pump. Being a centrifugal pump they are very simple in their operation and extremely reliable.

·Smooth flow output - unlike diaphragm pumps which will always 'pulse' the liquid through the lines to some degree, centrifugal pumps have a beautiful smooth flow which is an advantage if using a rate controller as the hypro pumps wont pulse and give you a more accurate flow reading.

·More likely to be able to keep working longer - if you happen to do a seal in a Hypro pump you can safely keep using it until you get time to put a new seal in, you wont damage the pump running it when the seal is gone, all it means is that the pump will leak. If you do a diaphragm in a diaphragm pump you will have to fix it immediately, otherwise risking major pump damage. This can cause costly downtime.

Filtration System:A carefully chosen filtration system is a key component to a good liquid injection system. Our system consists of a large capacity 1 ½" primary filter, and a 1 ½" self-cleaning filter in the main pressure line out of the pump. This clever system allows us to run a very fine mesh screen in the self-cleaning filter and coupled with the large flow of the hypro pump, continually cleans the screen to ensure that it doesn't block and also guards against blockages further down the system.

Control Manifold:Like all the components in our system the control manifold has been chosen with quality and reliability of the utmost importance. The control manifold is a high quality ARAG 463 series control manifold complete with highflow 1" throttling valve, agitator tap and 12V electric on/off valve. All internal wettable parts in the control manifold are either Delrin or AISI 303 stainless steel with viton gaskets for excellent resistance to fertilizers. Available in either standard configuration or rate control ready, which has the additional features of a 12V electric regulating valve and an electromagnetic flowmeter. This highly accurate flowmeter is unique in that it doesn't have any moving mechanical parts inside the flowmeter, it is highly accurate, no maintainence, Measures the same regardless of fluid density or viscosity, has low sensitivity to turbulence and doesn't measure air. All parts in contact with liquid are either polypropylene or stainless steel.

This flowmeter really is the flowmeter of choice in a liquid injection system.

Head Manifolds:Two options are available for our head manifolds, standard and deluxe. The following is a description of both:

Standard:The standard manifold has non-drip nozzle bodies attached to a length of ½" poly tubing. The quickfit caps that clip onto the nozzle bodies house our own custom designed flow regulators, giving you the ultimate in accurate product regulation and resistance to blockages.

Deluxe Manifold:Our precision CNC machined deluxe manifolds are available with either 10 or 20 outlets. These manifolds can either be mounted at each head or anywhere across the bar. This system is used in conjunction with our tine injector unit where the regulation point is moved further downstream, as close to the tine as possible to cut down on hose lengths after the flow regulator which eliminates the possibility of friction loss and differing flow rates from uneven lengths of hose, giving you precise application of liquid.

Tine Kits:The tine kits simply consist of pre-cut lengths of stainless steel tubing that needs to be attached to each tine. The kit comes complete with nylon tubing with push to connect fittings that attach to either the standard or deluxe manifolds. The stainless steel tube housing and protects the nylon tubing and ensures that your liquids are delivered into the furrow in a precise, unbroken stream. The push to connect fittings make plumbing the system a breeze and are quick and simple to use.

Automatic rate controllers / GPS equipment:Our rate control and GPS options are almost endless. Our standard rate controller of choice is the TeeJet 844e which provides excellent rate control and is simple to set up and use. We can also supply the complete range of Trimble Guidance and rate control products including the EZ-Guide 500 or FMX touch screen along with the EZ-boom 2010.

We can also set up the liquid injection system to enable you to use your existing GPS and rate control equipment - you don't need to double up with an extra rate controller that you won't necessarily need.
