With so many options and systems available precison ag can become confusing. Everyone has their own opinion and different needs, so finding the right system to suit can be a challange. One thing at Stoll's that we always stress to our clients is to plan a few years ahead of yourself - by that we mean having a goal in mind of what you would like to achieve with your GPS and where you would like to go with it.

If you have no intention of going down the 2cm inter-row sowing path than there is no need to spend the money on a system that you are not going to use to its full capacity. However if you do believe that is the way you want to head over the next 2 - 5 years don't purchase a system that won't allow you to 'upgrade' or 'step-up' to 2cm/Base Station accuracy.

We have found that one of the standout features with the Trimble range is that you can start at a low entry price and work your way up, season by season, or as your cash flow allows. This lets you get in and purchase a high quality system and work your way in the future to 2cm if that is the way you plan to go. It also gives you a base allowing you to access options such as autoboom shut off, assisted steering etc.

We have stuck with the Trimble brand due to their back up support and knowing that this company is here for the long run. The amount of money Trimble spend on research and development to consistantly improve their systems is amazing. Even when they have a great product they are still out there trying to improve it for the end user. We have a fantastic relationshop with Trimble and are proud to say that in our eyes they are definitely the leaders in Precision Ag.
